Parents of Missionaries event is May 17

Join other local parents of missionaries for an evening of encouragement and fellowship, led by Ann Hershberger, on May 17, from 6pm to 7:30pm.

Itinerary:

  • Fellowship Potluck – Bring a dish to share
  • “How to be Present when Absent” – Ann Hershberger
  • Prayer over our families

Location:
VMMissions Conference Room
601 Parkwood Drive
Harrisonburg, VA

This evening, hosted by VMMissions, is to provide a space for you to thrive and stay connected when your children and grandchildren serve cross-culturally. We want to help parents through a period of adjustment and mixed emotions, to help families stay strong and connected, even when they are separated for the cause of sharing Christ – “How to be Present when Absent.”

About the presenter:
Ann and her husband Jim have 10 years of international mission experience. They have served with Rosedale Mennonite Missions and Mennonite Central Committee in Central America and led 8 semesters of cross cultural experiences for EMU. In the past 3 years they have supported and loved their son, daughter-in-law and grandson from a distance while they have served in Iraq with MCC. Currently Ann teaches at EMU and is a member of Early Church.

We hope you can join us! If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mindy Schwartz at [email protected] or 540-434-9727
