On Thursday, July 14, 2022, Virginia Mennonite Missions celebrated nearing the end of a campaign raising $3 million for new initiatives through a service of worship and commissioning new workers. The service was held as part of Virginia Mennonite Conference Assembly at Zion Mennonite Church, Broadway, Va.

On November 26, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit Albania, causing loss of life and damage to buildings, including in the town of Lezhë, where VMMissions has a number of workers and ministries. VMMissions is establishing an Albania Earthquake Relief Fund to help provide food, lodging, clothing, medicine, counseling, and other necessities in the town of Lezhë.
