Project: Baby chicks for Maranatha School for the Deaf, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica
$1 buys a baby chick
A popular project is back! On the grounds of Maranatha School for the Deaf, former VMMissions workers Rodney and Eve Knepp built a chicken coop and started a sustainable effort to help the school reduce food costs and train students to take leadership of the animals in their care. Baby hens will provide the school with eggs.
Maranatha School for the Deaf provides education for for deaf children ages 3-16. There are no VMMissions workers currently serving at the school, but there are many longstanding connections with former workers and with our constituency.
