Peter Brown

Serving in: (Central Asia)
Program name:
Serving since: 2024
Vocation: , ,

Peter (name changed) has been appointed to join the VMMissions Central Asia Launch Team through a tranSend internship. His primary focus for the first year will be language and cultural learning, and he is exploring long-term work. He plans to move to the eastern part of the country in the fall of 2025 to fill a long-term role.

He grew up on the East Coast not far from Washington D.C. and was interested in taking the gospel to the unreached from a young age. After graduating with an engineering degree, he moved to the Philadelphia area. There he joined a local congregation and served in a community outreach for several years.

He worked for two manufacturing companies over the course of a few years. During that time he talked to other believers about options for supporting himself while serving in an international setting. He connected with a service agency and moved to a Central Asian country for several months in early 2022. His main task was designing and building mechanical devices to help cerebral palsy patients, which could be reproduced locally. This experience affirmed a sense of calling to that part of the world. Since returning to the US he has been studying a Central Asian language and been making other preparations to return. Please consider partnering with Peter in taking the hope of Christ to Central Asia.
