Vocation: Discipleship Ministries, Formation in Mission, Learning/Training
Serve as an intern with Viva Youth, a ministry that partners with local churches in children’s ministry and building faith community for young adults exiting the Colombian foster care system called Primos and Primas in the community. Based in Bogotá, Colombia, this non-profit organization was started by VMMissions workers Jorge and Ginny Enciso.
Viva Youth believes “Our faith guides our purpose and we believe in the local church and its neighbors as powerful agents of social and spiritual transformation.” The Encisos are involved in a network of house churches that is actively involved in providing this community for young adults.
Viva Youth partnered with SLAQ (a VMMissions partner program for youth) and hosted a SLAQ team on an E3 Collective trip in Spring 2024.
Interns will likely live with several young adult Primos or Primas, and participate in the work of the Viva Youth Foundation and in the life of the house church network.
