Elliot will serve with Viva Youth in Bogotá, Colombia, as a tranSend intern with VMMissions workers Jorge and Ginny Enciso, whom he enjoyed getting to know through their participation with SLAQ. A subsequent impactful E3 Collective trip to the Viva Youth ministry in Colombia gave him a window into their life on mission and a calling to serve.

This is a gap year assignment before Elliot begins college. Having studied Spanish at Harrisonburg High School, he plans to continue studying Spanish language in this assignment.

He will go through discipleship training and language and cultural immersion for three months in Costa Rica with VIDA 220 prior to his outreach in Colombia. While in Colombia, he will serve Viva Youth as directed by Jorge Enciso.
