Brazilian Family Returns to Albania for Second Term

By Eva Eberly

Rafael and Solange Tartari along with infant son, Paolino, recently returned to Lezhë, Albania, following a busy three-month “home assignment,” visiting family and churches in Brazil. They were commissioned by their sending agency, Junta Menonita de Missões Internacionais (JMMI), and seconded to work collaboratively with the VMMissions mission team in Albania for a second term.

Their first term of service was dedicated to learning the Albanian culture and language and finding their place in the Albanian church. They serve on the leadership council of the Lezhe church and assist in its ministries of teaching, preaching, worship, and friendship evangelism. Rafael also serves on the AMMF (Albanian Mennonite Mission Foundation) board. Solange gives leadership to the women’s fellowship. They have been well received and greatly appreciated as they befriend and minister to the Albanian people.
