VMMissions Launches Coronavirus Immigrant Care Fund

Many immigrant families, Latino and otherwise, depend on their weekly check for meeting the needs of their families. Unfortunately, the present coronavirus emergency has left many families jobless or with their work hours reduced to a minimum. Often, only one parent has a job, making their situation even more difficult, especially when they have several children to care for. Due to their immigrant status, these families will not benefit from any government relief packages or aid. They don’t know what their future will look like.

In response, VMMissions is launching a Coronavirus Immigrant Care Fund (CIC Fund) to provide monetary support to immigrant families in need. Fund distributions will be discerned by a team of local immigrant pastors and leaders, along with VMMissions staff, according to the number of household members and needs of particular families, on a case by case basis.

We invite you to help us share God’s love with our immigrant neighbors in need – perhaps sharing from tax refunds or governmental aid associated with the coronavirus. Gifts can be made online with the button below, or by check, made out to VMMissions, with CIC Fund in the memo, and mailed to 601 Parkwood Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22802. Funds exceeding the need may be used for other relief efforts.
