Recent Worker Appointments and Reappointments

VMMissions appointed the following workers in 2023.

• Clay Kauffman, serving as a tranSend intern with Highland Retreat. His internship is half-time with Highland Retreat, exploring various jobs and responsibilities that advance the mission of the camp, and half-time serving with a local congregation and in community service.

• Joy M. (name changed) has been appointed to join the VMMissions launch team in Central Asia as a tranSend intern, working half-time as a teacher at an international school in the capital city and the other half engaging in language learning and connecting with the launch team.

• Rissa Martin is a tranSend intern serving as the Volunteer Coordinator at Agape Home, an orphanage in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

• Baker Rigg is serving as the part-time chaplain of the Rockingham Harrisonburg Regional Jail, Harrisonburg, Va.

• Adam and Elise Sauder (names changed) have been appointed as Associated Workers serving with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Myrtle Beach. They help coordinate discipleship training and outreach in Myrtle Beach, and lead ministry teams to a country in South Asia.

• Hannah Shultz shares Jesus and disciples children and families, in partnership with two Spanish-speaking churches in the Harrisonburg, Va., area.

• Devin Stipe serves in a tranSend assignment with SLAQ (Servant Leader Quest) and Early Church, Harrisonburg, Va.

• Elaine U. (name changed) has been appointed to serve on the Central Asia launch team and teach half-time at an international school. Her teammate Joy is her spiritual mentor, accountability partner, and friend, and they look forward to serving together.

• Brynn Yoder, serving as a tranSend intern with Highland Retreat. His internship is half-time with Highland Retreat, exploring various jobs and responsibilities that advance the mission of the camp, and half-time serving with a local congregation and in community service.

• Michael & Ruth Hershey, as Associate Workers with Immerse International and in bivocational volunteer ministry.

• Olivia Kasidiaris, an Associate Worker serving in campus ministry at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va.

• Mike and Risha Metzler, church planters of Mosaic of Grace Church, Harrisonburg, Va.

• Yacoub Rasul (name changed), church planter among the Arabic-speaking community in Harrisonburg, Va.

• Dini & Klementina Shahini, serving at Lezha Academic Center and the Guri I Themelit church in Albania.
