Riders Raise Over $25,000 at 25th Annual Bike Shenandoah

#GivingTuesday Raises $4,800 for Mission
VMMissions thanks the 36 donors who contributed a total of $4,800 to this year’s #GivingTuesday campaign. This includes a matching gift of $800 from Everence. VMMissions will use these contributions to multiply disciples among neighbors near and far.

My Coins Count Raises Over $11,000
VMMissions and Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) cooperated this year to channel My Coins Count funds to help some of the most vulnerable people during the global COVID-19 crisis. On a crisp September morning, the largest number of riders in Bike Shenandoah’s history rode in memory of Steve Leaman, a beloved former principal, educator, and VMMissions staff member. The 133 riders pedaled to raise money for six organizations.

On July 18, 2019, a crowd of over 450 gathered at Lindale Mennonite Church to kick off a series of events celebrating the 100-year history of VMMissions. The evening’s theme was “cultivating good soil,” based on Jesus’ parable in Mark 4:1-9.
